Abstract

Background: Hydatid disease is a parasitic zoonosis caused by the larval stage of Echinococcus granulosus and remains endemic in Morocco. In children, extrahepatic hydatid cysts are uncommon compared with isolated hepatic or pulmonary disease and remain poorly characterized. This study aimed to describe the epidemiological, clinical, radiological, therapeutic, and outcome characteristics of extrahepatic hydatid cysts in children.
